I’m Kristan Smith, based in London, Ontario, Canada.
My professional background is a fairly eclectic mix of business development, tourism, hospitality, event management, marketing, graphic design and digital media. I spent much of my adult life in Germany, including more than a decade working in Berlin’s tourism industry, before returning to Canada.
I’ve always been interested in how cities work, how people connect, and how ideas turn into projects. My interests range from local business and community development to history, music, photography, technology and the occasional obscure historical rabbit hole.
52BLUE is my personal corner of the internet. It’s not really a business, a portfolio or a blog, although elements of all three may appear here. It’s simply a place to collect my writing, share projects, explore ideas and occasionally put something useful into the world.
Currently, much of my attention is focused on London and Southwestern Ontario, including local events, community initiatives and digital projects.
